powerpoint design case study
// the problem
Our client is an institutional money management firm specialising in foreign exchange trading. He had a standard 'bland' PowerPoint presentation to launch a new hedge fund, but wanted a slick presentation to 'wow' his audience. The design needed to have a fine balance between 'stodgy' and 'cutting edge'.
From a branding point of view, our client asked us to include a photo of a 500-year-old oak tree from their town, which forms part of their logo, but wanted us to make it look 'cooler'.
// the solution
We redesigned his 26 powerpoint slides to make them look more professional. We created a fresher feel for the presentation, especially for the title slide. We used smooth transitions between slides, because animations are not usual for investment programs.
To present a more modern take on the tree image, we 'vectorised' and tweaked it, making it look more graphical, like a logo.
// the results
The resulting static powerpoint presentation with graphical elements was specially designed to suit the industry. It was structured and to-the-point, so it communicated the desired message and gained us a very positive response from the client.
